The work‐of‐fracture of a glass frit designed for nuclear waste disposal was measured at six temperatures, ranging from 298 to 680 K. The fracture‐surface energy and toughness went through a minimum at 580 K. Elastic moduli were measured by determining mechanical resonance frequencies.
