The ternary phase diagram of Ti‐O‐N exhibits a wide region of cubic solid solutions between TiO and TiN. The thermodynamic activities of titanium and titanium monoxide were measured in such solutions with a multiple Knudsen cell mass spectrometer at high temperature (1800 K). This technique allows experimental conditions to be specified, e.g. fragmentation processes and equilibrium conditions for the vaporization. The solid solutions of TiO‐TiN exhibit a slight positive deviation from ideality.
