The formation of chemically coprecipitated barium ferrite was studied using differential thermal analysis, static magnetic measurements, X‐ray analysis, and ferromagnetic resonance measurements. The investigation showed that the formation process of coprecipitated BaFe 12 O 19 differs significantly from that of conventionally prepared BaFe 12 O 19 . The DTA diagram showed a large exothermal peak at 760°, indicating hexaferrite formation. Intermediate phases, such as α‐Fe 2 O 3 and BaFe 2 O 4 were not observed during the reaction process.
