Scanning electron microscopy in combination with energy‐dispersive X‐ray analysis was used to study fracture surfaces of several industrial cement clinkers. This combination can be used successfully to locate some clinker components even when they are present in amounts smaller than the detection capabilities of methods such as X‐ray diffraction and optical microscopy.
