The crystallization of an MgO‐Li 2 O‐Al 2 O 3 ‐SiO 2 glass containing TiO 2 as a nucleating agent was investigated using replication electron microscopy. The hardness varied in a complex manner with the heat‐treatment time but correlated to some extent with the observed changes in microstructure.
