The dynamic air‐water pressure method for texture analysis after Žagar is described. The method allows determination of the permeable porosity of refractories and of the size and the size distribution of the permeable pores. Several factors which characterize the texture of the material are obtained from these measurements. Data are presented for a variety of refractories. The behavior of chemically bonded basic brick after different heat treatments is studied on the basis of texture analysis and is compared with other fired basic products.
