Tubular specimens of two rocket nozzle‐grade graphites were tested under ten biaxial stress states at room temperature. The static biaxial load was applied by internal fluid pressure and axial loads. Fracture strengths are compared with the maximum normal stress, the maximum strain energy, and the Stassi‐D'Alia theories. Correlations between the results and the theories usually were not of a general nature.
