X‐ray thermal expansion measurements on arc‐ cast carbides of titanium, zirconium, and hafnium are reported. The coefficients of thermal expansion for these materials from room temperature to 2700°C are 9.5 ± 0.3 × 10 −6/0 C, 7.6 ± 0.2 × 10 −6/0 C, and 7.3 ± 0.2 × 10 −6/0 C, respectively.
