A bstract X‐ray diffraction data by the powder method for compounds in the system CaO–MgO–SiO 2 are widely scattered in the literature. In certain instances, there is need of revision of the earlier data because of improvement in equipment and technique. X‐ray patterns have therefore been made, and the data are here presented covering nineteen of the compounds in the system CaO–MgO–SiO 2 . These represent all the known compounds which are stable, and several which are metastable, at room temperature.
