A bstract A method is described for the separation of cords and stones from the surrounding glass, and procedures are given for the semimicro‐determination of silica and alumina. The apparatus is illustrated. Analytical results by full‐scale methods and semimicro‐methods are given. The methods of semimicro‐analysis are shown to be rapid and accurate.
