A bstract The Irwin consistometer is used to determine the effect of various clays, electrolytes, opacifiers, finenesses of grinding, time of aging, percentage of water addition, and increase of Epsom salts additions and temperatures on ground‐coat, cover‐coat, and acid‐resisting enamel slips. All results are represented in curve form on consistency graphs, which determine the relative yield value and mobility of the respective slips.
