A bstract The p H ‐controlled process of clay treatment will produce beneficial results if proper information on the clay is available before treatment. The p H curve usually will supply this information. Three different types of curves are presented and discussed. Soluble salts affect the process. These effects and manner of control are explained. Actual tests which have been made in plant operations during the past year and the results obtained are described.
