A bstract The importance of closely regulating the internal pressure of a kiln under fire is discussed from a standpoint of uniformity of heat treatment of the charge, reduction of fuel consumption, and efficiency in the use of combustible gases. An attempt is made at an analysis of the causes of low efficiency and high fuel consumption.
