A bstract A study is made of the flow characteristics of a porcelain over a considerable range of stress and temperature. In the range of these tests, where the rate varied by a million to one, no lower limit was found to the flow. The flow always reached a steady rate, but this look as much as 400 hours in some cases. The relation of plastic flow‐to other types is discussed as well as the application of the flow diagram to the load test and the fusion point.
