A survey is given of a number of factors which exert an influence upon the following thermal properties of several minerals and ceramic bodies: specific heat, thermal reaction, thermal conductivity, thermal expansion, thermal radiation, etc. The influences in the Case of fired and unfired substances are differentiated. A bibliography is presented, which summarizes the work of recent years bearing on the thermal properties of minerals and ceramic bodies.
