Many technical, as well as nontechnical, men hesitate to use hydrogen‐ion control because they feel that its application requires the services of a highly trained chemist. This paper shows, by a simple nontechnical discussion of the subject and by a demonstration of the method of making measurements, that a plant foreman can apply it just as easily and accurately as a trained chemist.
