This drier is so constructed that the flow of air is transverse to the tunnel. A fan produces a change of air four to six times per minute, drying ten tons of filter‐pressed clay in twenty‐four hours. The drier may obtain its heat either from the kilns, glass or bisque or steam coils, or the use of both.
