SUMMARY.1 The constitution of the Giraffe liver is described and figured for adult and neonatal stages: caudate and Spigelian lobes are shown to be constant topographical features. 2 The visceral surface of the adult and the neonatal liver is figured for the first time. 3 A gall‐bladder is present during foetal life but normally undergoes physiological involution, being absent from the postnatal animal. 4 The presence of a gall‐bladder in the postnatal Giraffe is always of the nature of a congenital anomaly; two additional instances are reported.
