S ummary .1 A comparative study of the course of the anterior superior dental nerve has been made. 2 In all the types studied the nerve to the incisor teeth was derived from the maxillary division of the trigeminal nerve. 3 The anterior superior dental nerve affords an example, in these forms, of a nerve crossing a suture line whilst traversing a canal in bone. 4 Some of the implications of the observations have been mentioned.
