S ummary .1 Observations were made on an adult female Hyptiotes puradoms2 The construction of the triangular web and the peculiar method of dealing with the prey are described. 3 The laying of the eggs and the making of the cocoon were observed, and the development was followed up to the second instar. 4 Cyclosu conica decorates its web with bands of silk or pellets of insect remains. Observations on 105 webs showed great variation in the occurrence and arrangement of these decorations. 5 The development of the peculiarly shaped abdomen of C. conica is described.
