First record of female germ cells in the testis of a wild Mediterranean northern bluefin tuna Thunnus thynnus L. 1758

The presence of female germ cells was observed in the central portion of the testis of a Mediterranean northern bluefin tuna Thunnus thynnus , 2250 mm fork length and 217 kg. This is the first report of intersex in this species.
