A weighted procedure for analysing fish condition, when conventional ANCOVA assumptions cannot be assumed because the coefficients of regression and residual variances were not equal among groups, proved adequate for most data sets. Data for an Iberian cyprinodontid fish were used to demonstrate the proposed method.
