Improvements to Atlantic salmon anterior kidney metaphase yields following phytohemaglutinin injection

Increased and reproducible yields of metaphase spreads were obtained when Atlantic salmon parr were injected parenterally with PHA (0.03 mgg‐ 1 ). Maximum yields were obtained when two separate injections were given at 72 and 36 h prior to sacrifice.
