Gynogenetic offspring of rainbow trout were produced by means of UV‐irradiation of the sperm from a normal male. In order to indicate the destruction of the chromosomes of the sperms, eggs of albinos were used. The gynogenetic offspring showed no pigmentation while normal progeny showed pigmentation.
