Studies on the ichthyo‐fauna in Plover Cove Reservoir, Hong Kong: feeding and food relations

The feeding biology of the fish species in Plover Cove Reservoir, Hong Kong has been investigated with special reference to Sarotherodon mossambicus (Peters). The food spectra of various fish species were analysed and compared and the results indicated that S. mossambicus played an important role in the ecology of this reservoir since all major food sources were exploited.
