The first occurrence of Lernaea cyprinacea (L.) in Scotland is given together with a summary of Lernaea records for Britain including one other unpublished record. Source of the infection is discussed and host fish involved listed. General characters of the Scottish specimens are compared with those of Demaree, Fryer, Hu and Wilson.
