Sera from salmon Sulnio salar L. suspected of U.D.N.‐infection were tested (by double gel diffusion) against antigens prepared from diseased salmon tissues and Suprolegniu . Precipitating antibodies to the fungus were found in 93 % of the salmon, but only 66% of these fish were colonized by fungus. The antibodies were detected in parr and adult salmon.
