his essay describes a study ofthe Saucerian Press, a small mail order firm that publishes and sells books to hobbyists interested in flying T saucers. The study is part of a series of research projects designed to trace the social history of the flying saucer movement. The Saucerian Press is of particular interest because (1) it has been responsible for the elaboration of folkore’ about flying saucers, and (2) it functions a s a clearing house of information for flying saucer hobbyists.
