Dear Editors, Biologic processes such as nail growth (1), muscle development (2) and blood flow suggest differences based on arm dominance (right versus left). For example, in the dominant arm of tennis players, compared with their contra-lateral arm, there is increase in blood volume (3,4), maximal blood flow (5) and brachial artery diameter (2). However, healing of acute wounds between dominant and non dominant forearms has never been studied, and we hypothesised that acute wounds on the dominant arm would heal faster than on the non dominant arm.
