Summary Thymomata which are too small to be detected by plain radiography, may be demonstrated by pneumomediastinography, thymic venography, and selenomethionine scanning of the mediastinum. These techniques were valuable in demonstrating a tumour in a woman with myasthenia gravis, leading to thymectomy.
