SUMMARY Three patients, who exhibited many of the classical clinical features of Zollinger‐Ellison syndrome, are presented. In the first patient, inadequate total gastrectomy contributed to death. In the second patient, total gastrectomy was effective, and in the third patient excision of a solitary pancreatic nodule in a lymph gland and partial gastrectomy has led to cure. In this patient there was associated hyperplasia of the parathyroid glands. Gastric secretion studies proved extremely reliable in two patients. Serum bioassay contributed to the diagnosis in one patient.
