SUMMARY A case of alveolar hydatid disease in a Russian migrant is described. The alveolar form of hydatid disease is characterized by an infiltrative mode of growth associated with extensive necrosis and caseation. A definite outer limiting membrane as found in the ordinary form of the disease is absent.
