Summary A case is recorded of chronic pneumonitis of the cholesterol type, in association with both “ incomplete” and complete pulmonary infarction and pulmonary embolism. The hypothesis is offered that ischæmic changes in the lung parenchyma can produce the characteristic changes of cholesterol pneumonitis. Previous case reports have not shown this association.
