Summary Electrolyte‐balance studies on a patient with primary aldosteronism are reported. An aldosterone antagonist, spironolactone (“ SC 9420 ”, “ Aldactone ”, Searle), was effective in promoting sodium excretion and, to some extent, potassium retention. Spironolactone had some effect also after removal of the tumour. Vasopressin caused an increase in urine flow in this case.
