Abstract Heatwaves are a major public health threat for A ustralians. Hyponatraemia is common, with an increased incidence previously described during heatwaves. We report a series of 10 patients admitted with moderate to profound hyponatraemia, the majority with a history of excess water consumption, during the J anuary 2014 heatwave.
