The top image shows birefringence image observations of LiNbO3 crystal dots patterned by cw Yb:YVO4 laser irradiations with laser powers of P=1.65 and 1.80 W for 5 seconds in 3NiO‐40Li2O‐32Nb2O5‐28SiO2 glass. The a‐axis and c‐axis of LiNbO3 crystals were determined from the color and are indicated by arrows. The bottom image shows birefringence observations for LiNbO3 crystal particle arrays patterned by cw Yb:YVO4 laser irradiations with a laser power of P=1.55W and scanning speeds of S=5‐10 mm/s in a 3NiO‐40Li2O‐32Nb2O5‐28SiO2 glass. The pink color means the a‐axis orientation of crystals is along the laser scanning direction, and the light blue color indicates the c‐axis orientation of crystals. DOI: 10.1111/ijag.12390 .
