Dieulafoy's disease (DD) is characterized by the presence of an anomalous blood vessel within the submucosa, sometimes presenting with life-threatening haemorrhages. Firstly described in the stomach in 1898, this condition has been occasionally reported in the respiratory system [1] and, following a recent case in our institution, we performed a systematic analysis of the literature from 1995 to 2015 on articles describing cases involving the bronchial tree to look at criteria for diagnosis and management.
