The Committee on Publication Ethics recommends that as good practice all journals should describe their peer review processes as a matter of transparency. This editorial, therefore, will describe both Headache’s philosophy and our management approach. Throughout the coming year, starting with this editorial, we will be publishing a series of short articles or editorials on writing for publication, reasons for rejection, and research design.
