In a 2020 Geographical Analysis paper, Pazitka, Wójcik, and Knight aimed to examine and challenge the validity of office‐location approaches for modeling intercity business flows. Their argument proceeded in three steps: (1) critique the office location approach and specifically the interlocking world city network model (IWCNM), (2) introduce their own inter‐organizational project approach (IOPA) as an alternative, then (3) assert the validity of the IOPA and invalidity of the IWCNM. In this commentary, I discuss how they fail to achieve their aim because each step of this argument involves a logical fallacy.
