Protein regulator of cytokinesis 1 (PRC1) colocalizes with microtubules in mouse oocytes, and PRC1 is essential for microtubule stability through its effects on tubulin acetylation. PRC1 regulates midzone and midbody formation, which further involves into cytokinesis under the regulation of KIF4A in mouse oocytes.
