Neddylation has been shown to regulate immune responses and metabolism for over a decade. This review presents a comprehensive overview of the roles of neddylation in redox homeostasis, mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, de novo lipogenesis, adipogenesis, inflammation, bacterial and viral infection, and adapted immunity. The neddylation substrates involved are discussed.
