In this issue, we highlight a report from Gout et al . on the identification and significance of protein CoAlation in bacteria, a study by Day et al . on a mechanism by which the E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF 11 limits polyubiquitin chain assembly by E3s such as TRAF 6, and a paper from Crews et al . revealing a Golgi‐specific transcriptional response to unfolded proteins.
