In this issue, we highlight work from Thorner and colleagues that uncovers how the TORC 2 pathway kinase Fpk1 modulates endocytosis, a paper by Rane and colleagues showing that β‐cell dysfunction and loss of β‐cell mass in diabetes are molecularly linked via a Cdk2‐dependent mechanism and a quantitative proteomics study by Norman, Zanivan and colleagues that identifies the key proteins involved in Rab17‐mediated anti‐invasive effects.
