Therapeutic jurisprudence, referred to as TJ, has its origins in mental health law and now applies internationally to every area of law, including family law. This article briefly defines TJ, discusses its relevance to family law, and introduces FCR readers to the eight special issue articles. The publications describe TJ's connection to family law in various contexts and from several countries, including Singapore, Ireland, New Zealand, Israel, and the United States.
