Specific scope This standard describes the conduct of trials for the efficacy evaluation of plant growth regulators on grapevine for the following uses: improvement of spring shoot emergence, avoidance of summer pruning, especially tip pruning (by effect on vegetative growth), berry thinning, regulation of fruit set, regulation of ripening and colouring, reduction of density within bunches (thereby reducing the incidence of grey mould due to B otryotinia fuckeliana ) and control of quality parameters (e.g. parthenocarpy). Specific approval and amendment First approved in 1992–09. Revision approved in 2012–09.
