A survey of the common A phytis spp. H oward ( H ymenoptera: A phelinidae) parasitoids was carried out at four citrus orchards (which were not treated with chemical pesticides) in AL ‐ H anade, S tamo, T arjano and H maiem in L attakia G overnorate from S eptember 2010 to S eptember 2011. Six parasitoid species of the genus A phytis were reared from living armoured scale insects isolated in four states. They were A phytis lepidosaphes ( C ompere), A phytis lingnanesis ( C ompere), A phytis chrysomphali ( M ercet), A phytis melinus ( D e B ach), A phytis maculicornis ( M asi) and A phytis hispanicus ( M ercet).
