A new genus and species of whitefly, Arunaleyrodes geminus , are described from Sago forests of Arunachal Pradesh in North‐Eastern India. Habitus images, camera lucida drawings and scanning electron micrographs are provided to supplement the description and discussions. This new genus is distinguished from Aleurotuba in having long anterior and posterior marginal setae, apically rounded ensiform dorsal setae (except caudal setae), each marginal tooth with a wax‐secreting longitudinal groove along the axis of the tooth, and posteriorly elevated vasiform orifice. An apparently closely related genus, Aleurotuba , is diagnosed, discussed and illustrated here.
