This study addressed the question of whether the next generation of neurologists want to become ‘interventional neurologists’ and perform endovascular therapy in acute ischaemic stroke. Responses were received from 1218 neurology trainees out of 27 European countries. In total, 568 (47%) stated that they would want to be an interventional neurologist.
