Cover Illustration: The expression of acid‐sensing ion channel 4 (ASIC4) in the brain. ASIC4‐expressing cells were identified in the ASIC4 Cre‐ERT2 ::CAG‐STOP floxed ‐Td‐tomato double transgenic mice. In the upper panels, ASIC4 signals (red) were detected in NG2‐positive cells (green) in the cortical regions. In the cerebellum (the lower panels), ASIC4 signals (red) were mainly detected in Pax6‐positive cells in the granular cell layers. Otherwise, most ASIC4 signals were expressed in CR‐ and/or VIP‐positive interneurons in the brain. Eur. J. Neurosci ., 41 , 1553–1568.
