Mini‐Abstract The most common cardiac complications after prosthetic valve replacement include prosthetic valve endocarditis, thromboembolism, pericardial effusion, hemolysis, and valve failure due to prosthetic valve thrombosis or periprosthetic regurgitation. Aorto‐atrial fistula after valve surgery is a rare complication, which usually occurs after aortic valve surgery. However, development of an aorto‐left atrial fistula after prosthetic mitral valve replacement is very rare. Here, we present a patient who had aorto‐atrial fistula evaluated by transesophageal echocardiography.
